Adult Learners and Generational Differences with Marian Ward Vallotton, Cheryl Hagerty and Jason L. James, Jr.

Program Description:
Do you sometimes wonder why you’re just not getting through to one or more of your class participants?  It might just be because of differences due to a generational gap. For the first time in history, employers are challenged with meeting the different needs of four generations in the workplace.  In order to help prevent misunderstandings and conflicts, it is critical to understand the differences within each generation.  Please join us for an engaging panel discussion as we explore generational preferences regarding learning and communication styles and motivation.

Panel Members:

Marian Ward Vallotton – Marian is a Director of Training & Organizational Development at MidAtlantic Employers Association.  She is experienced in senior management, organizational development, coaching and training and has worked across a wide range of industries.  Her expertise is in partnering with senior management to develop in-house talent, strategically affect corporate culture, and improve business results.  She is a graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and has completed Master’s-level coursework in Instructional Systems at Penn State University.

Cheryl Hagerty - Cheryl is a Training Project Manager for a Wealth Management area within a global financial services organization and a member of ASTD.  She has an M.S. in Strategic Leadership from Neumann University and is a leader with twenty plus years of diversified business experiences.
