You may have seen Bob at the NAMM U sessions and he is back to share his success once again in an all-day format. 

After owning his own award-winning kite store for over two decades, he has spent the past decade teaching retail store owners and managers the nuts-and-bolts skills they need to run successful business.

Success Starts With Passion--A Note from Bob
You see, store owners like you started your music stores with the same essence that I had when I first entered into my life as a retailer – PASSION! I had a tremendous love for kites of all things. And, I wanted to share my love for kites with as many others as I could. So I started Mackinaw Kite Company. That was my way of living my passion – making kites available to adults and children who viewed kites as an expression of freedom. That was my passion!

 Passion Often Isn't Enough
I soon learned that passion alone wasn’t going to be enough to keep my business successful. I knew that I needed more – I needed knowledge. So I became just like a sponge! I traveled around the state talking with retailers, looking for the keys to success. I became a devoted student of all facets of retail businesses. And my new knowledge made a difference in my business so I started teaching what I learned to other retailers.

Fear + Uncertainty = Stagnation
I continue to hear fear and uncertainty in the voices of retailers, particularly now in our troubled economic times. And that fear has made me realize that the best way for me to continue to fulfill my passion for sharing the secrets of retail success is to be in a room with retailers for an entire day and expose them to ideas that can change their businesses immediately.
