The South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission will conduct a Claims Administration Workshop on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, 8301 Parklane Road, Columbia, SC 29223.
This Workshop is for individuals responsible for processing, managing and adjudicating claims in the State's workers compensation system; including attorneys, adjusters, claims managers, risk managers, paralegals, legal assistants, insurance carriers, and employers. Commission staff will lead the discussion and be available to respond to questions during three concurrent small group sessions focused on specific topics related to claims processing, the hearing and adjudication process, and coverage and compliance. Each concurrent session will be offered three times allowing every attendee the opportunity to attend all three sessions.
REGISTRATION: Cost to attend the Workshop is $45 per person and may be made online at the time of registration. Lunch and refreshments provided. No registration will be processed without full payment.

Ms. Crocker will provide a comprehensive explanation of the Commission's judicial proceedings requirements and the three adjudication processes: Informal Conferences, Hearings, and Appeals.
Concurrent Session III - Insurance & Medical Services
Grant Duffield, Insurance & Medical Services Director
Mr. Duffield will provide a brief overview of the coverage and compliance requirements for workers' compensation claims and the Commission's responsibility in resolving medical billing disputes.
