TOUR INSTRUCTOR: David J. Simchock (www.DavidSimchock.com / www.VagabondVistas.com)
TOUR DESCRIPTION: This six-hour tour begins at City Hall, making its way down the Ben Franklin Parkway to the steps of the Museum of Art, then finishing on a bridge overlooking the Schuylkill for a twilight skyline shoot.
The general theme of this Photo Tour is architecture - both exterior and interior, from vast skyline vistas, to the details of historic buildings, to an interior session in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul or the Philadelphia Public Library. The itinerary may also take in Boathouse Row, but the highlight of the event is surely the view of the city skyline from an overpass on the Schuylkill River.

Throughout the day, David will guide the group to the optimum locations for creating postcard views of this historic landscape along the Schuylkill River. Not just a "tour guide", David divides his time between brief group instruction sessions, and working one-on-one with his clients.
Designed as a "hands-on" workshop, this Photo Tour is ideal for past students of David's classroom-based workshops, though it is also a fine match for any photography enthusiast.
Just as he does in the classroom, David provides practical tricks-of-the-trade in camera operation and artistic composition, helping his participants to "make" great photos, instead of just "taking" them.
NOTE: There will be a short break about half-way through the session for a meal / snack (meal not included with tour fee).
It is highly recommended that each participant wear comfortable walking shoes and bring appropriate gear for unexpected inclement weather.
Group size is limited to only eight (8) people.
