Little Essentials is less than two years old and has already helped 1628 Brooklyn babies and toddlers living in poverty!
There are currently 19,000 NYC children living in homeless shelters, only 1,000 less than during the Great Depression.
In some Brooklyn neighborhoods over 40% of children live under the Federal Poverty Level ($23,050/year for a family of four)
To date, Little Essentials has collected donations from 524 Brooklyn families and distributed 15,000 articles of clothing, 537 pairs of shoes, 53 car seats, 116 strollers, 126 carriers and 5,000 toys to Brooklyn children in need.
