Real Life: College Faith 2013 

Event Description:  What is it like to be a Christian in college?  Spend a weekend experiencing "College Faith" with college students.  You will also get the chance to know other juniors and seniors in high school who are thinking about attending college.  There will be college students at the event from different universities throughout Florida.

Event Participants:  Juniors and seniors in high school are invited to register for this event (freshman and sophmore students are not able to attend).  This event is for students who are looking to go to any college and not just people who want to go to the University of Florida. Students must be accompanied by a youth leader or parent. 

Registration:

Early Bird Registration $35.00 Deadline December 2nd

Regular Registration Rate $40.00 Deadline January 6th

Registration includes all activities and food for the weekend, except breakfast each day is on your own.

Lodging: This year we have expanded our lodging options in order to include as many churches as possible in the event.  Here are the following lodging options:

1. Hotel: This option is not included in the registration cost and you will be responible for booking your own rooms.  There are a number of affordable options in Gainesville, and if you would like any recommendations please contact Pastor Dan Prugh (352) 672 7729. 

2. Abiding Savior Lutheran Church:  The sister congregation of First Lutheran Church has agreed to offer free lodging to groups who want to save money.  Groups would need to bring sleeping bags, air mattresses, etc... and they would be able to stay in the Family Life Center for the weekend.  Please contact Pastor Dan Prugh if you are interested in this option. 

3. Friends and Family: Last year a number of people stayed with friends and family that they have in Gainesville, FL.  If you are staying with friends or family please indicate that on the registration form.

9:00am - 9:45am - Large Group Event

9:45am - 10:30am - For Students - Small Group Time

                                 For Youth Leaders - Discussion Forum - Faith After High School: How can we keep students connected?

10:30am - 11:00am - Organize rides for Campus Tour and Lake Wauburg (Note: You will be responsible the transportation of your group over the weekend.)

11:00am - 12:00pm - Short Campus Tour and then Drive to Lake Wauburg (Click to Learn More)

12:00pm - 12:30pm - Arrive at Lake Wauburg

12:30pm - 1:30pm - Lunch at Lake Wauburg

1:30pm - 2:30pm - Large Group Event / Small Group Time at Lake Wauberg

2:30pm - 4:00pm - Free Time at Lake Wauburg

4:00pm - 6:00pm - Break for Showers, Nap, etc...

6:00pm - 7:00pm - For Students: BBQ at First Lutheran Fellowship Hall

                               For Youth Leaders: Appreciation Dinner

7:00pm - 8:00pm - Large Group Event / Small Group Time

8:00pm - 10:00pm - For Students: Games and S'mores
