A long weekend of inspiration, empowerment and retreat for teens, young adults and their leaders at the Sorrento Centre
What's Keep Calm and Wait?
Keep Calm and Wait is a retreat for youth, young adults and youth leaders organised by the BCYAYM and the Diocese of New Westminster's Youth Movement. It's a chance to come spend a long weekend at the beautiful Sorrento Centre in the winter, to eat, play and worship together whilst also taking a deep breath from the busyness of our daily lives.
Date and times: The new BC family day long weekend: February 8th (evening) to February 11th (late afternoon) 2013
Open to: Teens aged 13-19 and Young Adults aged 20-25. Youth leaders and those involved in youth ministry in parishes are also invited; to be involved in the running of the event and to forge connections with peers .
Cost: $150 per participant; which includes accommodation and all meals. (For those in the Diocese of New Westminster, the fee also includes transport to and from Sorrento Centre from across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Other registrants must make their own travel arrangements) Payments can be made online with a credit card at the time of registration, or by cheque to the Sorrento Centre.
What each participant needs to do: Each participant needs to be registered online, then print out a waiver and send it to the Sorrento Centre. (If you don't pay the registration fee online, then those cheques should also be sent in!)
Payment and waiver
You can either pay for the event using a credit card via Paypal, or you can send a cheque toteh Sorrento Centre
However you choose to pay, all registrants must bring a signed waiver / photo release form. We recommend sending it to the Sorrento Centre ahead of time! (under 18s will need a parent to sign the waiver and photo release for them) You can find the waiver form here:
