Making the case for training your experts

woman speaker at lectern

This intensive lunch-and-learn session was suggested by communications pros who attended the popular Be an Expert on Working with Experts workshop, prompted by the question, "How can I make the case for starting a training program for our experts?" Now you have a chance to participate in that discussion.

Come to a two-hour, hands-on lunch-and-learn on Friday, December 7, that will walk you through:

  • Leaders who are calling for experts to gain better public communications skills, with quotes you can use to bolster your program;
  • Pluses and minuses of one-off training sessions versus a series or standard training program;
  • What other communications pros are facing in their attempts to start training programs; and
  • Creating a pilot program and collecting data to make your case.

It's a briefing and a brainstorm, all rolled into one. At this session, lunch is provided--and so is a jam-packed followup email that will include all the quotes, links, data and ideas we discuss, so you have it for ready reference. As a bonus, you'll also leave with a great new network of communicators who share your goals and ideas.

Registration HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED, so register until November 30, 2012, at midnight Eastern Time or when all seats are filled. Spaces are limited to ensure a thoughtful discussion, and plenty of time to address your questions and thoughts. Before you register, please read our workshops FAQ and policies--when you register, you are signifying that you agree with and accept these policies.

If you're interested in the next Be an Expert on Working with Experts--a daylong workshop that helps communicators learn about experts' default behaviors and how to work with, not against, them--click on the "Join Our Mailing List" button at left and be sure to check the waiting list for that workshop. Our next workshop dates will be in January 2013.
