LACSW and the Tulane School of Social Work is proud to present a special 3-hour Ethics workshop on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to noon entitled "Social Work Ethics in Changing Times" (Ethics for BACS). The event will be held at the School of Social Work Building located on Tulane's Uptown Campus. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in Room 104, and participants will earned 3 CEUs.

Workshop presenter Laury A. Bourgeois, LCSW-BACS, RSW (GB-UK), has worked closely with the LACSW, TSSW and the LABSWE to provide a workshop that has been approved by the LABSWE to meet the requirements for new BACS training, and others that will spark your enthusiasm and meet Ethics and Clinical Supervision requirements for continuing BACSs. Her interactive approach is comprehensive and entertaining with self-assessment questionnaires, helpful tools for your supervisory practice, case vignettes, and self-care strategies with an overlay for those who supervise as part of their private practice and those who supervise within an agency setting.

Bourgeois received her BA in Sociology from the University of Missouri -- St. Louis in 1976 and her Masters of Social Work from the Tulane School of Social Work in 1977. Ms. Bourgeois has been invested in quality social work services, management and supervision for more than 30 years. She has successfully worked with juvenile delinquents; victims of violent crimes; families in crisis; the homeless; the mentally ill; substance abusers; HIV-infected individuals; military families and children; and many other at-risk populations. During 2005, she became a Registered Social Worker in Great Britain and also began offering training to social workers in the south of France. Ms. Bourgeois is a sought after guest speaker, trainer, grant writer and program developer who continues to offer her services from the Lot Valley in the south of France where she now resides full time.

Registration Information and Fees
Early registration fee is $75 and will end on Friday, Nov. 9. After Nov. 9, the fee will increase to $100. Payments can be made via check or money order (payable to Tulane School of Social Work) and should be mailed immediately after completing the online registration form. Payment must be postmarked by Nov. 9 to receive the early registration rate. Please mail your payment to:
