CYCLING for CF

On SUNDAY, November 18th starting at 9 AM, Hub City will be offering two adult hour-long rides taught by two of our awesome instructors, Carole Buckley and Nicole Grady. To finish off this fabulous fundraiser we are offering two shorter "Kids Spin" classes  that will be a half hour each - registration for kids is $10 and all proceeds go to CF. This is a great way to get out, have fun, see some friends and raise some money for a very worthy cause while also getting a great workout in!!
We are asking for a $30 donation for the adult spin classes which will reserve your spot on a bike for the  fundraiser.  Not looking to ride?  No problem, you can still donate to this great cause and show your support as we help combat CF. All proceeds will be going to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Guests are more than welcome to attend and we will have Hub City/ CFF t-shirts and wristbands available for purchase with all the proceeds going to support the CFF.

All paid riders for the 9AM and 10AM sessions  will receive a complimentary, special edition Hub City/CFF t-shirt commemorating this special event!!

All kids registered for the 11AM or 11:30AM will receive a bracelet to show their support for Cycle for CF

A history of Cystic Fibrosis:

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that:

  • clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and
  • obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

A little about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation:

Since 1955, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been the driving force behind the pursuit of a cure. Thanks to the dedication and financial backing of our supporters — patients, families and friends, clinicians, researchers, volunteers, individual donors, corporations and staff, we are making a difference.

We look forward to seeing you on November 18th!!
