Volunteer to Prepare Taxes at North Jersey Federal Credit Union

Each year, millions of low- and moderate-income taxpayers rely on IRS certified volunteers to prepare and file their tax returns for free.

Since 1969, thousands of volunteers through the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program have been providing free Federal and State tax preparation services to people with an income below $50,000.

North Jersey Federal is partnering with VITA to offer free tax preparation to our members and the underserved areas of our communities.

Volunteer Benefits:

• Receive free training
• Get IRS Certified to prepare Basic, Intermediate or Advanced tax returns
• Help people in your community fulfill their tax obligations and qualify for benefits and credits
• Learn a valuable new skill
• Be able to do your own taxes

We ask that aside from our branch locations, volunteers help assist members prepare their taxes at various non-branch locations throughout North Jersey. Once the location stops have been set up, we will notify the registered volunteers via email.
