Moderator: Lee Partridge

Lee Partridge

Lee Partridge is the Chief Investment Officer of Salient Partners,
a Houston based investment firm with over $17 billion in assets
under management. Mr. Partridge spearheaded the development
of Salient’s asset allocation funds, credit-related strategies and
quantitatively managed funds. He also directly oversees the
investment program for one of Salient’s largest institutional
clients, a $9+ billion public pension plan.

Previously, Mr. Partridge was the founder and CEO of Integrity
Capital, LLC, which spanned traditional and alternative
investment strategies, and the Deputy Chief Investment Officer
of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas where he was
responsible for global asset allocation, risk management,
portfolio construction, external managers, hedge funds, derivative
strategies, equity trading, futures trading and risk management.

Mr. Partridge holds an MBA degree from Rice University and a
Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of
Houston. He also holds both the CFA and CAIA designations.


Panelist: Kenneth Mehlman

Kenneth Mehlman is the Global Head of Public Affairs at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. He oversees the firm’s global external affairs activities, including corporate marketing, regulatory affairs and public policy, communications, and engagement with the firm and portfolio companies’ key stakeholders.

Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Mehlman was a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld where he helped clients manage risk and seize opportunities at the nexus of business and public policy. Mehlman spent a dozen years in high-level positions on Capitol Hill and at the White House, including serving as Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Campaign Manager of President Bush's successful re-election campaign. Mr. Mehlman graduated with a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Mr. Mehlman serves on a number of NGO boards, including the American Foundation for Equal Rights, as a trustee of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Franklin & Marshall College, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Enterprise Institute's National Council, the Robin Hood Veterans Advisory Board and the IDEAL School of Manhattan.


Panelist: Marko Papic

Marko Papic joined BCA Research, Inc. in 2011, as a Senior Editor and strategist for BCA’s Geopolitical Strategy service.

Prior to joining BCA, he was a Senior Analyst at STRATFOR, a premier global intelligence firm. Mr. Papic was in charge of the firm's global geopolitical strategy and net assessment as well as its analyst recruitment and training program. He was also the firm's senior political risk strategist for Europe, shaping forecasts and maintaining flows of intelligence in the region. In his role at the firm he has been interviewed by numerous media organizations, including the New York Times, CNN, BBC, the Wall street Journal, Al Jazeera, and the Associated Press.

Before joining STRATFOR, Mr. Papic helped create the Center for European Union Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and he holds graduate degrees from both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of British Columbia.


Panelist: Cyril Moullé-Berteaux

Cyril Moulle-Bertreaux -- 188x263

Cyril Moullé-Berteaux is head of the Global Asset Allocation team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He re-joined the firm in 2011 and has 21 years of financial industry experience.

Before returning to Morgan Stanley, Cyril was a founding partner and portfolio manager at Traxis Partners, a multi-strategy hedge fund firm. At Traxis Partners, Cyril managed absolute-return portfolios and was responsible for running the firm’s quantitative and fundamental research effort.

Prior to co-founding Traxis Partners, in 2003, he was a managing director at MSIM, initially running Asset Allocation Research and ultimately heading the Global Asset Allocation team.

Previously, Cyril was an associate at Bankers Trust and worked there from 1991 to 1995 initially in corporate finance and eventually as a derivatives trader in the emerging markets group.

He received a B.A. in economics from Harvard University. He currently serves on the firm’s Global Investment Committee.
