Call for Presenters

Conference Theme:  Health and Wellness in Early Childhood Settings

Keynote Speaker:  Debbie Palmer, Founding member of the Early Childhood Partnership of Southern Pima County and Representative of Faith Community on the First Things First South Pima Regional Partnership Council.

Submission of Proposals to be a Conference Presenter
We need your help to make our January 12, 2013 South Pima Rural Early Child Care Providers’ Conference a rich and rewarding experience for early child care professionals.   We welcome innovative proposals for a  variety of topics as they relate to health and wellness in early childhood settings. 

 

Conference Agenda:

7 – 8 a.m. - Sign in/Continental Breakfast
8 – 9 a.m. - Keynote Address:  Debbie Palmer
9 – 9:15 a.m. - Break 1
9:15 – 10:15 a.m. - Session 1
10:15 – 10:30 a.m. - Break 2
10:30 – 11:30 a.m. - Session 2
11:30 – 11:45 a.m. - Break 3
11:45 – 12:45 p.m. - Session 3

Submission Guidelines:

• Proposals should identify at which one session you would like to participate and provide a short summary of what you would like to present (not more than one page).  Workshops will be limited to 30 participants per presenter.  Presenter must provide own A/V equipment and materials.  However, black and white copies for each (selected) presenter’s workshop will be available upon request. 
• Proposals are to be submitted via email to vfelty@unitedwaytucson.org with the subject “2013 Rural Child Care Providers’ Conference Proposal” by November 15, 2012.
• Proposals are to be in English
• Proposals must be non-sales or marketing oriented
• Proposals must include your photo, bio, email and phone.
• Upon request, we can offer a stipend of $100 per presentation to selected presenters*.   Proposals must indicate whether you request a stipend should your proposal be selected by the Early Childhood Partnership of Southern Pima County. (*United Way employees are prohibited from accepting a stipend.)

All submissions will be reviewed by the Early Childhood Partnership of Southern Pima County’s Conference Committee for approval.
