Friends from near and far will join in the fun.  Guests will hear traditional music, play Victorian parlor games and celebrate the engagement of Marie Hegeler to Paul Carus. 

Meet our guests for the holiday season, including Governor Richard J. Oglesby and his wife Emma; Mark Twain, a well known American author;  John Muir, naturalist and preservationist; and of course our closest friends, Frederick and Fannie Matthiessen.
