Call for Presenters for the
Red Clay Writers Conference
On Saturday, February 16th is the Red Clay Writers Conference, where the Georgia Writers will host a full day of workshop panels in the genres of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, feature writing, technology of writing, and editing. Speakers will be selected from their submitted proposals for 15-minute presentations.
If you are interested in presenting at the Red Clay Writers Conference, please submit a short, 500-word maximum synopsis of your proposed presentation. We are looking for presentations that are both practical and applicable to writers of any genre. In your submission, tell us how you are going to create an experience that will leave the writers with something to take away from the workshop; for example, a worksheet, a writing activity, or a memorable moment. Each speaker will receive 15 minutes. Each panel will have three speakers and a moderator. There will be a question-and-answer session once all presentations have been made.
In addition, panel members’ published works will be sold in the KSU Bookstore; however, selling one’s work during the presentation is discouraged. This is a great opportunity because you will receive free advertising through GWA press releases and feature articles. We will be accepting submissions until December 31st. If you are accepted as a presenter, you will receive further direction.
