In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, 8 million customers were reported to be without in the affected states, according to the Department of Energy.  Many are debating the degree to which climate change is a catalyst to the trend of hurricanes and severe weather patterns on the environment.  After Hurricane Sandy touched down on October 29th, we no longer can afford to blur the lines and fail to do the important work.  However, as Sandy showed, our energy infrastructure is at high risk to the effects of climate change as well.
