2. Please email a headshot and bookcover (jpg, gif) before January 31, 2013. Please place author's name in subject line (e.g. GAYA Author's Last Name) and send to:

Nominations will not be considered without all the required information and payment.
All nominations must be submitted online. Payment can be mailed as checks or by online payment. Please contact Katie M. Sigman if you need to make payment by phone or if you have other questions.

49th Georgia Author of the Year Awards
It is time to nominate books published in 2012 for the 49th Annual Georgia Author of the Year Awards.
Our guidelines have been revised and updated to reflect the changing market and publishing trends. You will find that you can nominate an ebook if it is not print published. Children's categories have been consolidated. Fiction now includes a short-story category. The nonfiction genre has been refined and defined to remove ambiguity. It should make our competition better than ever as we approach the 50 year mark of the Georgia Author of the Year Awards.
Please note that books can only be entered under one category this year.

After you complete your nomination:
Mail your books (If your book is only an ebook - include a hard copy of your ebook in PDF or WORD for judging purposes and email a link to where your book is sold.)
