This workshop is targeted at business owners who have a website, as well as those who are considering getting one. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the art of enhancing your website's rankings in the search engines so you will be one of the top choices when people are searching for what you have to offer - all without utilizing a paid advertising program.

It is recommended that you attend SCORE's workshop, "Use the Internet to Market Your Business" before attending this class.

Although not required, you are encouraged to bring a wireless capable laptop for "hands-on" learning.

Christianna Connell
is President of future-ink, a San Diego web design and internet marketing company. Though future-ink has won many awards for their beautiful sites, they understand that getting great results is the bottom line for their clients. Christianna has more than 12 years of in-the-trenches experience helping companies of all sizes make their Search Engine Optimization pay off.

Christianna has a BS in Computer Information Science and graduated summa cum laude from Coleman University. Christianna speaks fluent "geek" but prides herself in the ability to translate tech jargon into understandable terms. It is her goal to have her students walk away from the classroom with a concrete understanding of SEO and the ability to implement strategies and techniques that will help their website achieve real results.

Christianna is a frequent speaker and educator. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater San Diego Business Association, and chairs the GSDBA Technology Committee. Christianna is also part of the University of San Diego Task Force to design and develop their Internet Marketing Certification program. 

Jeune Ortiz
is Vice President of Marketing and Creative Director of future-ink, an award-winning web design and Internet marketing company. It is Jeune's belief that the only reason to have a website is to help grow your business. Jeune has more than 14 years of experience helping companies of all sizes generate revenue from their website and build an online image they can be proud of. 
 
Jeune has launched over 400 successful website projects, and also has experience integrating offline and online marketing strategies. Jeune's goal is to have her students walk away from the classroom with a concrete understanding of all phases of web design and site ownership. The topics in this class will range from the initial site creation to carving out an internet presence that will attract substantial traffic - and convert that traffic into paying customers. 
 
Jeune is a frequent speaker, educator and blogger. She is also part of the University of San Diego Task Force to design and develop their Internet Marketing Certification program.
