Delegation: The Best Way to Develop Responsibility is to Give Responsibility

Explore the skills necessary to accomplish your tasks and achieve your goals.  Knowing what to do and being able to do it yourself is not enough.  Great supervisors (and even parents) learn to pass along their knowledge and work through others.  Doing things that others can do for themselves is really not helping them in the long run.

Date:     Wednesday, January 30

Time:     1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.

Place:     TBA

Cost:      $40

Instructor:  Geania B. Dickey is employed by Arkansas State University and is the Program Coordinator for the Arkansas Children’s Program Administrators Certificate/Credential and provides support to the Child Care Aware state network and the state’s Quality Rating Improvement System, Better Beginnings. Geania has over twenty-six years of experience working with young children and as an adult educator and seven years experience in recruitment/Human Resources. Geania has developed and implemented management trainings for internal use, for national conferences and as a contractor for local and national organizations.

Note:  This activity is a non-academic, non-degree seeking workshop offered as a community outreach initiative and is not affiliated with the university’s degree credit programs.  This class is not endorsed by the College of Fine Arts.
