Keynote Speaker:  Immigrant Rights Activist Sofia Campos

Sofia Campos

Sofia Campos is the Board Chair of the United We Dream Network, the largest national immigrant youth organization in the country. Born in Peru, Sofia migrated to the United States with her family when she was six years old. In her senior year of high school, she discovered she was undocumented and, with the encouragement of her parents, accepted her admissions into UCLA. There, she taught UCLA’s first ever “Undocumented Student Experience” seminar and served as Co-Chair of IDEAS from 2010-2011.  After gaining organizing experience inside and outside the classroom, Sofia graduated with Honors and Bachelors of Arts in International Development Studies and Political Science and a minor in Labor and Workplace Studies. She currently works at the Dream Resource Center in Los Angeles, and helps coordinate the national book tour for Undocumented and Unafraid: Tam Tran, Cinthya Felix, and the Immigrant Youth Movement. Sofia is proud to be a community advocate and will continue her studies in in Urban Planning Master's programs this fall.
