Dr. Edward Smith Is the President of Victim Relief Ministries and has led VRM deployments in to disaster areas like the Gulf Coast, Haiti, Japan and many more. As the lead curriculum writer and trainer for VCCA he has trained hundreds of Chaplains and Crisis Responders on how to deal with Mass Casualties and Grief and Trauma.  He is CISM certified, a Certified Trauma Responder (CRT) and trained in Verbal 1st Aid, and FEMA Incident Command. He is a Chaplain with the Grand Prairie Police Department. 

Dr. Doug Stringer is founder and President of Somebody Cares America/International and a licensed pastoral counselor and ordained minister. Doug holds a Ph.D. in leadership and human development from Logos University, along with a pastoral certificate in practical ministry from Regent University. He has served with the Houston area Council on Gangs and as a Community Relations Consultant for Houston Police Department’s Community Outreach Division and has been heavily involved in disaster response around the world.  He has authored a number of books including: The Fatherless Generation, Somebody Cares, and Who’s Your Daddy Now?  He is also a sought after speaker nationally and internationally at religious, political, educational and civic gatherings.

Dr. Paul Van Valin. PhD has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1985.  He founded Eden Counseling Center in 1995, Eden Family Institute in 1996 and co-founded FirstFruits Crisis Response in 2001.  Dr. VanValin was the Executive Chair of the Franklin Graham Festival in 2007 and is a valued partner in ministry by many pastors and church leaders.  Dr. VanValin has extensive training and experience in critical stress and psychological trauma.  Dr. VanValin’s personal mission statement is: To help people find their true identity and to live as if they believe.  

Gene Grounds Is the founder of Victim Relief Ministries and the Chairman of the Board. Gene has been leading deployments and working with victims of crime, disasters and terrorism for over 14 years. He is CISM certified and a Certified Trauma Responder (CRT) and a Police and Fire Chaplain with the City of McKinney.
