What Advocates Need to Know

March 29 | Spokane, WA

Presenters:

Tracee Parker – Safe & Sound Visitation Program Director/Ellner Domestic Violence Intervention Program Co-Facilitator
Marilyn Liepelt – Program Therapist, Wellspring Family Services
Danielle Prince – Program Manager, Lifewire

This training will help advocates:

  • Understand the history, requirements, theoretical approaches, and practices of batterers intervention programs (BIPs) in WA state
  • Help survivors know what to expect from BIPs and how to identify the potential risks and benefits of communicating with a program
  • Identify ways to communicate with batterer intervention programs to promote survivors’ safety and autonomy

Come and learn with other advocates about this important component of our community’s response to domestic violence!
