Annual Meeting 2013

“Changing Faces; Changing States"

SGAC's 2013 Annual Meeting will be held March 13-15 at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, GA.  It is a conference for private-sector multistate government affairs professionals. The conference program focuses on providing new tools, techniques, and best practices to help build skills and stay on top of the latest trends.

The agenda is compiled by a committee of SGAC members who volunteer to help plan the meeting. The 2013 Planning Committee is being chaired by Stefani Millie Grant (Unilever United States, Inc.) and Theresa Flores (Mary Kay Inc.)  Please click here for the current tentative agenda.

Registration and Hotel Reminder! 

Please note that the hotel reservations and meeting registration are two separate actions. Please make sure that once you register for the meeting, you also reserve your hotel room.  For any questions regarding the Annual Meeting or the hotel, please contact Crislyn Lumia via email or 703-684-0967.  

Click here to book your hotel now! The rates are $185 for a single/double occupancy room.  Regency Club Suites are available for $349 a night. Please note: The meeting will begin at 3:00pm on March 13 and conclude at 12:00pm on March 15. 

Dress Code Guidelines

The dress code for all sessions is business casual, as is the dinner at The Olde Pink House on Wednesday, March 13th.  Please feel free to dress casually for the reception & dinner on Thursday, March 14th.

SGAC Committee Meetings

If you are interested in of one of SGAC's committees, please plan to participate on Thursday, March 14th.  The Member Services, LPC Planning/Education & Training, and Public Sector Outreach committees will meet from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm.  The Communications committee will then meet from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  You do not have to be a member of a committee in advance to participate.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Crislyn Lumia via email or 703-684-0967. 

Industry/Issue Interest Groups Meeting Opportunity   

Do you have an issue or state that is extremely pressing for you? Do you think there are other SGAC members who have similar interests? If so, and if you would like to meet with your peers to discuss your issue and share strategies,  SGAC can help you arrange a private meeting space during the Annual Meeting to do that.  Just let Tina Phillips know and she will work with you to arrange a room for your meeting.  For more information or questions, please contact Tina.
