
This workshop will provide a broad overview to the Non-Profit sector from both an administrative and legal framework. The workshop will address key points in the following areas: what exactly a Non-Profit is, how to start a Non-Profit, how to keep a Non-Profit, how to fund a Non-Profit, and lastly how to run a Non-Profit. The workshop will highlight some key differences between the Non-Profit and for-profit sectors. After attending this workshop, participants will have a better understanding of the role of Non-Profits, and some the key advantages and challenges that exist in opening and managing a Non-Profit.

Zachariah Evangelista is the principal and founder of Evangelista Law, P.A. The firm focuses its practice on assisting businesses on a variety of legal matters. The firm also dedicates part of its practice to assisting non-profits. Zachariah earned his law degree with honors from Florida International University. Prior to beginning his law career Zachariah worked at the City of Miami, where he collaborated with a number of non-profit's to provide various programs to children in the City's Parks. Zachariah also has a Master's in Public Administration.
