Sesshin at Beginner's Mind Zen Center is both a challenge and an opportunity to engage deeply in zazen. This New Year sesshin also marks the beginning of our practice period (more information on that on the web site).
This year, our Sesshin schedule is as follows:
Our sesshin is a traditional Soto Zen meditation retreat that includes oryoki meals, Dharma talks, sitting and walking meditation, work periods (samu), and private interviews (dokusan) with teachers. (For those who wish to stay overnight, accommodations are available to sleep in the zendo.)
While we hope you'll be able to attend the entire Sesshin, you are welcome to attend morning, mid-day or evening portions if that is all your schedule or other obligations will allow.
