Crisis and Trauma Intervention: Theory, Principles and Treatment

The Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, in collaboration with Tulane University School of Social Work Traumatology Institute, is proud to present a two-day workshop entitled “Crisis and Trauma Intervention: Theory, Principles and Treatment.” The event will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 103 of the Tulane School of Social Work. Participants will be eligible to receive 12 CEUs for attending the entire workshop.

Participants will learn:

  • Crisis intervention theory and intervention principles;
  • Evidence-based EMDR early intervention therapy protocols in individual and group formats; and
  • Hands on training and practice with specific crisis intervention skills.

Faculty
Internationally Recognized EMDR Institute adn EMDR Iberoamerica Senior Trainers of Trainers Ignacio Jarero, Ph.D., Ed.D., and Lucina Artigas, M.A., M.T., experienced in working with traumatized populations via crime and natural or human provoked disaster.

Registration Fee and Information
The registration fee is $245. The deadline for online registration is Wednesday, Feb. 14. To register, please fill out the online form, and mail your payment via check or money order (payable to Tulane School of Social Work) to:

Your registration will be finalized once your payment has been received.

Parking
On Friday, parking on Tulane's campus is available via parking permit only. Participants can park on any public streets adjacent to Tulane's campus, or they can purchase a one-day parking permit for five dollars from the Diboll Parking Complex, which allows participants to park on the second floor and above of the Diboll Parking Garage. There is also the free Blue Line shuttle service located at University Square (200 Broadway), which drops passengers off at the School of Social Work. On Saturday, parking will be available free of charge on Law Road, which is located directly behind the School of Social Work building. The School of Social Work (Building No. 9) is the fifth building on the left side of the Uptown campus as you enter the campus from St. Charles Ave. Law Road is located immediately after the Gibson Circle on St. Charles Ave. Participants can park in any space NOT marked reserved or handicap.
