Austin Montessori School Presents
Young children are naturally egocentric beings, for this is one of nature's ways of providing for the Child's needs. However, as they grow, the Absorbent Mind provides opportunities for fine-tuning their social interactions into gracious manners that are reflective of their culture. We will explore how the important role of the adults in the young child's life, through mindful modeling and gentle guidance, supports the natural unfolding and acquisition of these vital social skills that result in generous, respectful and compassionate beings.
Prospective parents are strongly encouraged to learn more about Austin Montessori School and the Montessori approach by attending a core series of three prospective parent classes, one of which is Social and Emotional Development in Young Children. Parent participation in these sessions is a criteria highly valued when children are considered for placement.
Due to the nature of these presentations, we ask that you please make childcare arrangements for all children other than infants in arms.
