Now in its third year, Cultural Considerations in Health Care is sponsored by the Division of Health Sciences and High Sierra Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and is an interdisciplinary event, created by students for students, providing students in the health sciences an educational experience in cultural awareness and its application to health research, policy and practice.
This years event will also include a Volunteer and Internships Open House Student Mixer where you can learn how to get involved with the local community! We are also excited to announce that we will be providing a Meet the Author Keynote Event with a discussion by Dr. Victoria Sweet, author of "God's Hotel: A Doctor, a Hospital and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine". A DHS faculty mixer will follow this event!
We encourage you to participate in this wonderful event!
