Mark your calendars to brave a (potential) blizzard while enjoying an evening of fun and festivity. Layer up and head to the "Loop Blizzard Bar Crawl" on Thursday, January 31.

The event will begin at Franklin Tap at 5:30 p.m., move to O'Neil's on Wells at 6:30 p.m. and finish at Cactus Bar and Grill at 7:30 p.m. The fee to participate is $40 in advance or $45 at the door and includes two drink tickets at each venue.  Bar crawlers may choose beer, cocktails or shots.  $10 of the participation fee will be donated to the Pacific Garden Mission, and gently used winter coats will be collected at Cactus and Franklin Tap the week leading up to the event.

To make things even more interesting, "bar crawl poker" will be played during the event. Guests will receive two playing cards at each bar and may discard one card at the final stop, making a hand of five. The best hand will win a $50 gift card to Cactus Bar and Grill/Franklin Tap; next best hand will win a pair of Corona beach chairs; third best hand will win a Corona beer cooler. Prizes will be awarded at 8 p.m. (must be present to win).
