World Bank: "Global Economic Prospects" Launch and Discussion
Andrew Burns, World Bank Manager of the Macroeconomics Team and lead author of Global Economic Prospects, a twice-yearly publication that examines global economic trends and how they affect developing countries, will present the analysis contained in the latest edition of the report, including a view on how fragility in the Euro Area and fiscal policy tensions in the United States can affect growth prospects in developing countries. He will also provide insights into recent developments in key developing economies and the impact these will have on global growth. Highlights regarding economic prospects of all of the developing regions, including East Asia and the Pacific, will be covered. Deepak Mishra, Lead Economist, WB in Vietnam will provide an update on Vietnam’s economic prospects.
