Supervisory Skills Certificate Series
Employment Law 101 - May 23, 2013

Many supervisors do not understand how their decisions about employee issues can create liability, not only for the agency but also for themselves personally.  This program will give supervisors basic information about employment law; plus skills and strategies for managing agency staff that can help to avoid employment litigation.

Presenter: Attorney Susan Fentin

Susan FentinSusan Fentin is a partner in the firm of Skoler, Abbott & Presser, PC, a boutique labor and employment law firm that represents exclusively management.  She joined Skoler, Abbott in December 1999, after practicing labor and employment law with the Hartford, Connecticut, firm of Shipman & Goodwin, LLP. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 1996, from Western New England College School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Western New England College Law Review.  After graduation, she served as law clerk to the Honorable John M.
