These three days have flexible options to attend Friday only, Saturday and Sunday only, or all three days are open to OBs, midwifes, pediatricians, family medicine physicians, IBCLCs, OT/PT/SLPs, Childbirth educators, Labor and/or postpartum doulas, WIC Program clinic staff, Facilitators of early parenting education, La Leche League leaders, Registered Nurses, and Registered Dietitians, involved with the daily feeding and parenting issues of new families.
Continuing education credits will be available for RN's, RD’s, IBCLC’s, LMHC’s and LMFT’s.

Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Ph.D., IBCLC, FAPA
Kathleen Kendall-Tackett is a health psychologist and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is the Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press, a small press specializing in women’s health. Dr. Kendall-Tackett is a Research Associate at the Crimes against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire, Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Amarillo, Texas. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association in both the Divisions ofHealth and Trauma Psychology, Editor-in-Chief of U.S. Lactation Consultant Association’s journal, Clinical Lactation, and is President-Elect of the American Psychological Association’s Division of Trauma Psychology.
Dr. Kendall-Tackett is author of more than 320 journal articles, book chapters and other publications, and author or editor of 22 books in the fields of trauma, women’s health, depression, and breastfeeding, including Treating the Lifetime Health Effects of Childhood Victimization, 2nd Edition (2013, Civic Research Institute), Depression in New Mothers, 2nd Edition (2010, Routledge), The Psychoneuroimmunology of Chronic Disease (2010, American Psychological Association), and Breastfeeding Made Simple, 2nd Edition (co-authored with Nancy Mohrbacher, 2010).
Dr. Kendall-Tackett received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in psychology from California State University, Chico, and a Ph.D. from Brandeis University in social and developmental psychology. She has won several awards including the Outstanding Research Study Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children. She was named Distinguished Alumna, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, California State University, Chico. In 2011, she received the John Kennell & Marshall Klaus Award for Excellence in Research from DONA International (with co-recipient Thomas Hale), and the Community Faculty Award from the Department of Pediatrics, Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Leslie Butterfield, PhD, Chairwoman, PSI of WA State, Vice President, PaTTCh
Leslie Butterfield is a clinical psychologist who specializes in pregnancy and postpartum issues. At her Seattle, WA private practice she works with moms and couples struggling with pregnancy and neonatal loss, the transition to parenthood, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, and birth related trauma. Additionally, she has designed and taught the counseling skills curriculum for Seattle Midwifery School and Bastyr Naturopathic University’s Department of Midwifery for the past 15 years.
In her capacity as an educator, Leslie has provided trainings and consultations to: University of Washington; Singapore KKH Hospital for Women; AWHONN(Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses); Marce Society; PALS (Pacific Association of Labor Support); API (Attachment Parenting International), NAPS (Northwest Association for Postpartum Support), Catholic Charities, Planned Parenthood, and others. Recently she has represented PATTCh (Prevention and Treatment of Traumatic Childbirth) as Vice President, and PSI (Postpartum Support International) as WA State Chair - at national and international conferences.
Leslie is currently adjusting to the fact that her sweet baby boys are now maturing teenagers and driving!! She loves to belly dance, cook with her sons, do photography, and travel around the world – having recently completed visits to SE Asia and Paris! She also travels regularly to Virginia to visit her parents and try to convince them to move to Seattle.

Heidi Koss, MA, LMHC, Board of Directors of PSI of WA and PATTCh
Heidi Koss, MA, LMHC is a psychotherapist in Kirkland, WA specializing in pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders (PPMD), birth trauma, sexual abuse and parent adjustment issues. She also hosts a weekly birth trauma support group. She is the WA State Coordinator for Postpartum Support International, and on the Board of Directors of Postpartum Support International of Washington (PSI of WA), and PATTCh – the Prevention and Treatment of Traumatic Childbirth, as well as co-founder of the Northwest Association for Postpartum Support (NAPS). Heidi provides in-service trainings and consultation for health care providers including speaking at international conferences such as PSI, ICEA, DONA, as well as consulting with the University of WA and the Washington State “Speak Up When You are Down Campaign.” She has made appearances on King 5 news and National Public Radio regarding perinatal mood disorders. Heidi has also been a Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Educator. Heidi is also the proud mother of 2 beautiful daughters.”
