Sustainable Building Design and USGBC Update 

Please join us for our next meeting, the tenth anniversary of the Sustainable Design program.  

The program is designed to review and inform the attendees about the changes, anticipated changes, and new developments in the sustainable building certification and professional accreditation supporting programs and resources.

Wade Bevier, FCSI, CCS, LEED AP BD+C, SCIPa, USGBC; Construction Specifier for SmithGroupJJR and owner of GWB Consulting LLC.

As an active member of CSI since 1998 Wade has been on the Raleigh Durham chapter board since 2002 when he took the role as Certification Chair and has since been an officer in some capacity for the chapter board and committee activities, including three years as the Chapter President and currently a Director on the board.

At the region level Wade has been the Institute Director representing the Southeast Region and is currently the President Elect and will be the Region President beginning July 1, 2014.

Wade has been a member of the North Carolina Triangle chapter of the USGBC since its founding in 2005. He is a member of the Education Committee for the now Triangle Branch of the USGBC North Carolina chapter. Wade’s consulting activities includes being a national member of USGBC and an affiliated member of SCIP (Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice) assisting local manufacturers develop their specifications and data information and supporting the affiliated professional associations to which he is a member.

At the CSI Annual National Conference in Phoenix Arizona on September 14, 2012, Wade was elevated to be a Fellow of the Institute.
