Every year, "Fix a Leak Week" reminds us to check plumbing fixtures and irrigation systems for water leaks. This year, the City of Palo Alto Utilities is teaming up with the Tuolumne River Trust (a local 501c3 non-profit) and others to offer a fun run and walk in celebration of Fix a Leak Week, Earth Day, and Water Awareness Month.
This family-friendly 5K race is a fun, healthy way to raise awareness about water resources and the importance of water conservation. Join fellow community members at the scenic Baylands for prizes, goodies, a chance to meet cross country Team USA member Phillip Reid, demonstrations and a chance to catch the running toilet! Prizes include a guided Tuolumne River canoe adventure with the Tuolumne River Trust, a new high-efficiency toilet and more. The first 100 registrants also receive a free stainless steel water bottle engraved with nifty water facts.
Your participation will help support our community's efforts to manage and conserve our water supply. So don't be a drip - fix that leak and join us at the Great Race for Saving Water!
