TJ Adcock, Director of Global Trade Compliance 

Alcoa Inc.  

 TJ Adcock is the Director of Global Trade Compliance for Alcoa Inc., the world’s leader in primary and fabricated aluminum operating in 31 countries.  TJ sets the corporate policy and oversees Alcoa’s domestic and global compliance activity.  She is a member of the National Council on International Trade Development in Washington D.C., the International Council for AIA, as well as various other trade associations. 

 

Samantha Stephens, Manager, Trade Compliance

Alcoa Technical Center (ATC)

Samantha Stephens is the Manager, Trade Compliance for the Alcoa Technical Center (ATC), Alcoa’s largest research, development and applied engineering laboratory. Based in Upper Burrell Township, PA, Samantha oversees trade compliance initiative for Alcoa’s global R&D operations.

 

Susanne Cook, Director & Chair, International Business Group

Cohen & Grigsby, P.C.

Susanne Cook chairs Cohen and Grigsby’s International Business Group.  She is a business attorney focusing her practice on counseling companies on international and domestic business transactions, joint ventures, customs, export and licensing matters. She is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America for international trade and finance and in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.  Susanne received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in 1988.

 

Bruce Chiu, Director, International Business Group

Cohen & Grigsby, P.C.        

As a director at Cohen & Grigsby, Bruce Chiu devotes his practice to e-commerce, international business transactions and general corporate matters.  He counsels clients on export control compliance issues, internet law, technology licensing, internet domain name disputes, international joint ventures and direct foreign investments.  Bruce received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University in 1992 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan in 1995.

Megan Finkelstein, U.S. Customs Specialist, International Business Group

Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. 

 Megan Finkelstein specializes in U.S. Customs consultation, including Title 18 and Title 19 of U.S. Customs laws regarding imports and exports on both civil and criminal matters.  Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, Megan was a special agent/import specialist with the U.S. Customs Service.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree (1984) and a Master of Arts degree (1996), both from the University of Pittsburgh.

 

James Anzalone, President

Compliance Assurance LLC

James Anzalone is the president of Compliance Assurance LLC, a firm specializing in global trade compliance solutions. Mr. Anzalone has consulted firms of all sizes throughout the United States on the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations.    

For over 17 years, James has developed and implemented comprehensive compliance programs including commodity classification, license determination, ‘know your customer’ checks, development of corporate policies and procedures and employee training programs. As an independent consultant, he has assisted companies with their Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) registration, technology control plans, brokering activities, commodity jurisdiction, encryption control reviews, internal audits, DDTC, BIS and OFAC licenses and a myriad of other import and export compliance challenges.

Eric Blum, Senior Associate

Compliance Assurance, LLC

Eric is a seasoned business consultant with over 15 years of industry experience.  As a Certified U.S. Export Compliance OfficerŽ (CUSECO), Eric supports a vast range of clients on import-export issues with a keen practical everyday understanding of the laws and regulations.  Using his sales and marketing experience with a multi-billion dollar global manufacturing corporation (Milliken based in Spartanburg, SC), Eric relates the import-export obligations to various business groups such as engineering, procurement, contracts, logistics, business development and product management.  Eric holds a BS in Mathematics (Grove City College) and MS in Mathematics/MBA (Clemson University).  Eric now resides in Beaver, PA which is close to the airport and NOT the hometown of Joe Namath (that is Beaver Falls – the next town over)!

 

Staci P. Miller, Director, Global Environmental Health and Safety

Kennametal Inc., Latrobe PA

Staci Miller has nearly 20 years of combined experience with environmental health and safety regulatory compliance and management system fields.  Staci has experience in a variety of organizations including manufacturing, consulting, and non-profit associations.  In her most recent role as the Director of Global Environmental Health and Safety at Kennametal she is responsible for providing leadership in establishing, promoting, and driving an integrated global strategy for environmental health and safety performance for the Company including compliance, risk management, sustainability and long term growth.

Staci is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), ISO 9001 Certified Auditor, and ISO 14001 Certified Auditor.  She has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science and Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Business Administration from Duquesne University.  She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
