Investing in the Philippines :

CEO Dennis Wright on Clark's Transformation

____________________________________________

CEO LUNCHEON

“INVESTING IN THE PHILIPPINES: A CEO’s Story of the Incredible Transformation of Clark and Successful Business Operations in the Philippines”.  Over the past two decades, Clark has been transformed from a devastated U.S. Air Force Base into a vibrant commercial hub with almost 600 Locators now calling it home.  Last year, Clark exported over $5 billion from flagship companies such as Texas Instruments, Samsung, Yokohama and Singapore Airlines.  Clark, and its sister Freeport in Subic, enable foreign investors and businesses to operate unencumbered by otherwise restrictive foreign ownership regulations while simultaneously offering strong economic incentives.  Dennis will talk about the incredible transformation of the two former U.S. military bases, the success stories, the benefits and nuances of operating in the Philippines and explain what is fueling the surge in the country’s economic growth.  His company is developing the single largest direct foreign investment real estate project in the country at Clark where he is facilitating the further transformation into a large Aerotropolis anchored by the Clark International Airport.  Clark, with nine airlines now operating out of the airport, is already handling over 300 flights per week and last year processed over 1.3 million passengers and on target to hit 2.5 million in 2013.
