was president and owner of Flex Metal Components, located in the Los Angeles area. Flex Metal is a leading supplier of precision metal components to major international manufacturers in the U.S. and Mexico. Tom purchased the company from its founder and was instrumental in its growth to 70 employees and in utilizing advanced manufacturing and quality techniques. 
 
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Tom held several key marketing positions with consumer product companies. At Sunbeam Corporation, Tom was Divisional Manager of the Electric Shaver-Personal Care Products Division. At Schick Inc. he was Senior Vice President-Marketing and led a major marketing effort of multiple product introductions using aggressive national TV and magazine advertising. At McGraw-Edison, Tom was Group Vice President of the Portable Appliance and Tool Group with marketing responsibility across five divisions, including Toastmaster. The combination of major corporate experience along with small business ownership has provided Tom with the broad experience and knowledge he applies in aiding SCORE clients.
