The Restaurant Opportunities Center of Michigan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of restaurant workers, socially responsible businesses, and consumers committed to improving working conditions and opportunities for advancement for Southeast Michigan’s 134,000 restaurant workers.  COLORS-Detroit is our non-profit restaurant, where we equip unemployed community residents facing barriers to self-sufficiency with the life skills, job training, and work experience they need to pursue careers in hospitality and food service. Our ten-week training program combines classroom and hands-on training with national and college-level certification opportunities.  By supporting job placement, retention, and career advancement, we help our students to achieve their dreams.

Detroit Harmonie is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed by a group of next generation individuals across different cultures to break down the racial barriers throughout the city of Detroit and create a dynamic place and environment that attracts the next generation.  Detroit Harmonie brings different cultures together in a variety of social settings, develops employment engagement and diversity training programs for corporations across metro Detroit, and funds social entrepreneurs creating alternative solutions to problems the city of Detroit is facing.
