Engage The Brain!

 

Reading does not come naturally to everyone. Join us as we share information, materials and some techniques to Engage the Brains! of readers of all ages. 

Topics will include:

• The areas of the brain which are involved in the “reading circuit”.
• Simulations that help adults better understand “break-downs” along the reading circuit that affect a student’s ability to read.
• Identifying and incoporating individual learning styles for more effective learning.
• Research behind and the importance of incorporating a multisensory approach into any learning environment.   
• Ideas and inexpensive materials to use at home or in a classroom.

The brain loses attention to a single task after 15-20 minutes.
