NCYRA College Admissions Seminar - Lafayette CA
Seminar Format
First Section: College Admissions Adviser for NCYRA, Karen Fong, will speak in general about the college admissions process, and specifically cover topics to help players navigate the application process. She will also touch on the many opportunities available to rugby players wishing to play in college.
Second Section: Karen will lead a college coaches panel in a discussion. Currently, we have head coaches from CAL, St. Mary's College and Central Washington University committed, with several others planning to attend. On the registration form you will be given a chance to let us know what questions are important to you. Please fill out this section of the form!
Ongoing: In the back of the room we will have tables set up with info on lots of colleges. Reps from many of these colleges will be on hand to talk to the players before and after the talks.
This should be a great program for players and parents to attend. Appropriate ages for the seminar would be those in, or soon to be entering, High School, but all are welcome.
Both Men's and Women's rugby teams are welcome, and college coaches from both will be there.
