Georgia Association of Woodturners

Turning Southern Style XIX Symposium

This symposium took place in September 2013

Northwest GA Convention Center(Note: the following information applied to the 2013 event)

The Georgia Association of Woodturners (GAW) presents its annual symposium, "Turning Southern Style XIX".  This year's event will be held at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center, in Dalton, GA.

This facility allows us to offer you more of what you have asked for... more demonstrations, a much larger Vendor area (more vendors with larger booths) and plenty of parking.  This promises to be our largest, most informative and enjoyable symposium in our 19 year history.

Downtown Dalton, GaThe town of Dalton, Ga. is a delight... with easy access from I-75 between Atlanta and Chattanooga.  It has many reasonably priced hotels close to the Convention Center, and an active town center which has lots of restaurants, antique shops, galleries, etc... the perfect place to explore!

Spouse / Guest Lounge Area
We are reserving a seating area at the Convention Center as a meeting area where spouses or guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, or just relax.   We will have a few tables where you can work at your favorite hobby.  If you have a favorite pastry or snack you want to share, bring that too!  Registration is not required to use this informal area, so it's a great place to pass the time if you're not going to the demos.
