Aaron Hamburger

Makes Limoncello Cupcakes

Join Poets & Writers in New York City on Thursday, May 2, for a special evening with novelist Aaron Hamburger as he demonstrates how to make his delectable limoncello cupcakes and discusses how food writing nourishes his fiction.

Hamburger is the author of the novel Faith for Beginners (Random House, 2005) and story collection The View from Stalin’s Head (Random House, 2004). He teaches at the Stonecoast low-residency MFA program at the University of Southern Maine and blogs about dessert at The Sweet Spot (www.aaronsweetspot.com). The May/June issue of Poets & Writers Magazine features an essay by the aptly named Hamburger, in which he explores the art of food writing and how it has influenced his other work. (Read it here.)

We’ll meet in the intimate cooking space at Whole Foods Market's Bowery Culinary Center on the Lower East Side to listen, learn, and, of course, sample the cupcakes.

Space is extremely limited. Tickets are $10 for Friends of Poets & Writers; $20 for non-Friends.
