Reservations are now open for the 2013 Central Region Listener Dinner.
This year Jim Fleming, host of To the Best of Our Knowledge and one of the voices of Chapter a Day, will serve as our keynote speaker.

Other distinguished guests include Mike Crane, director of Wisconsin Public Radio;  Rick Reyer, Regional Manager; and Glen Moberg, news reporter.

Doors open at 5 pm giving you a chance to mingle and enjoy the views from Greenwood Hills Country Club before dinner, which will be served at 6 pm.

At 7:30 pm, Jim will present: Behind the Pages, Chapter a Day.
The year was 1927.  A guest was scheduled for a live radio broadcast on WPR and cancelled just minutes before!  The host scrambled - what to do?  He grabbed a nearby library book, opened to page one and began to read.  Now, 86 years later, Chapter a Day is a staple in the Ideas Network daily schedule.  Hear from Jim Fleming about how he chooses and prepares a book for broadcast.

Dinner Choices - Choose one of the following:

Pot Roasted Beef served in natural juices with wine, onion, garlic, rooted vegetables and ginger, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli.

Asian Marinated Chicken served with creamy mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli.

Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli served with toasted pecans, dried cranberries, shallots in a maple cream sauce with broccolini and carrots.

All dinners will include a garden salad, french baguettes with dipping oil, coffee and water, and assorted dessert bars.  A cash bar will also be available.

This dinner allows WPR to show our appreciation to all of our loyal listeners.
It is an unique opportunity for listeners to interact with radio personalities, local staff members and other fans of Wisconsin Public Radio.

Tickets are $30; please register by Friday, May 3rd.
