With ICD-10-CM implementation to begin October 1, 2014, the home health industry must make sure that their currrent ICD-9-CM coding practices yield the highest accuracy for optimal payments, coding compliance and audit/survey success.
This 2-day program will offer ICD-9-CM coding instructions to the basic/pre-intermediate level coder, update the skills of a more experienced coder and/or prepare participants for the HCS-D Coding Certification Exam. It will also provide instructions on coding changes for the M1024 payment diagnnosis, as well as application of the guidelines to sample home health scenarios including ICD-10-CM codes.

She is a full Board member for the Board of Medical Specialty Coding & Compliance. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: Cancellations received in writing 10 days prior to the workshop will be subject to a $50 administrative fee. NO REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations received within 10 days of the workshop. Refunds will not be made for no-shows. However, substitutions are allowed with advance written notice.
CREDITS OFFERED: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15642 for 7 contact hours per day of training for nurses and 7 CEUs per day of training for HCS-D credential maintenance.
