Stockton Creek Preserve and Trails Dedication

Tomorrow, May 11th, 2013

The Stockton Creek Preserve is a 410 acre preserve dedicated to protecting water and habitat resources for Mariposa. Accessible from Hwy 140 and from Trabucco Rd behind MCHS, the Stockton Creek Trail System provides an excellent and easy-to-access recreation area for hikers and bikers.

Come join us for the grand opening of these trails and preserve!

Take Hwy 140N out of Mariposa. Just after Old Hwy comes in on the right, there will be a pullout on the right. Park here, and walk ~500 yards down the access road. Pullout and road will be signed.

Otherwise, Park at MCHS, walk up and behind the under-construction water treatment plant, and follow the trail 3 miles to the other side! There is a map at the trailhead there. We can shuttle folks back to town who walked in!
