Local Leadership on Clean Energy: Incentives and Energy Savings for Residents, Businesses & Local Governments (Morristown Workshop)

Energy can account for as much as 10% of a town's annual operating budget.  Save money by improving energy efficiency in existing buildings and designing new buildings to be energy efficient.  Investing in energy conservation measures in taxpayer-funded facilities serves to reassure constituents that tax dollars are being spent wisely and showcases energy-efficient technologies.

To achieve a broader impact, local government-led programs that educate the public on the benefits of energy efficiency and link residents and businesses with tangible assistance in the form of incentives and other funding opportunities have produced energy, economic and other benefits for communities across the country.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  Local government facility managers, energy and environmental staff, other local government agencies and Mayors, Town Council, and Green Team members.

Learn how local governments can promote energy efficiency by developing and implementing strategies that improve municipal facility and operations efficiency and encouraging residents and businesses to also explore energy efficiency improvements.
