Equipment Maintenance Strategies for Reliability and Cost Savings

Hospitals have thousands of unique devices that support patient care and facility services. This equipment represents millions of dollars of capital investment and hundreds of thousands of maintenance costs over its life cycle.  Selecting the proper planning and management strategy is an avenue to higher quality patient care and contained costs.

In this webinar, we cover current best practices for maintenance of medical and utility equipment in health care facilities. We will discuss topics such as the importance of the equipment selection process and secrets to improving long term satisfaction with equipment. We will also discuss several strategies for caring for different types of equipment including in-house, contracted, and hybrid maintenance models. In our discussions, we will quantify potential benefits of each strategy - including cost savings. We will also tackle regulatory challenges such as the 2011 CMS letter on Equipment Maintenance.

TSP cares for over 50,000 devices annually, with over 1100 unique device types and 16,000 unique model designations. Through this experience, TSP has found that many of these unique devices present maintenance challenges, and benefit from maintenance approaches that perhaps differ from that of the manufacturer. Are you using your reliability and performance data to select the best approach for your equipment? Join us to hear how others are succeeding, and share information about your achievements. Please register for this timely web meeting.
