Summer Cooking Camps
Whether it is the many shaped dry or fresh pasta varieties from Italy or other pasta like noodles or dumplings from other parts of the world, we explore them all! Plated with an array of sauces, cooked in soup, or baked in a casserole, we will eat them all! A popular camp with hands-on from scratch recipes that kids can easily prepare, and families can enjoy them all!

We are proud to introduce a new camp, From Seed to Harvest at Heirloom Garden. Cat McCreery, who owns the Heirloom Liberty Garden, will teach the children not only about food, but also about being environmentally conscious. This camp meets weekly on Thursday from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Designed for our chefs at least 8 years old, this special 8-week course begins with a seed and ends with a dish, children learn a wealth of information about organic gardening and the meals that can be created from the harvest. This class meets once a week on Thursdays, except for July 4th. $200. Heirloom Liberty Garden at Innerarity Island.
We gather eggs, milk, flour, cheese, fruits and vegetables for a whirlwind trip across the continents and prepare an international meal each day. It is an international culinary adventure focusing on popular food products and how they are prepared differently and similarly around the world to create authentic cuisine. Gluten-free options for each meal are available for those campers with gluten allergies. Ages 10 & up. Camp is from 5-7pm. $125. Redeemer Lutheran Church Activity Hall.
Please pass the good manners at mealtimes is the focus of Camp Meals and Manners. Each day we prepare the "meal of the day", practice kitchen etiquette, basic table settings, politely eating at the family table, and table manners in a restaurant. Gluten-free options for each meal are available for those campers with gluten allergies. Ages 5-9 years old. 9am-12pm. $150. Asbury Place at Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
Learning firsthand the basics of cooking and baking techniques that result in simple, tasty homemade recipes that even the pickiest eater would enjoy is our priority in this much asked for camp for PC Kids! We offer both a baking and a cooking fundamentals camp where campers develop and fine-tune skills including chopping, cutting, kneading, measuring, mixing, peeling, pouring, rolling, spreading, and whisking, to name a few.
Of course, food handling and sanitation, kitchen safety, reading recipes, organizing ingredients, problem-solving, and kitchen team work make this camp the total package for kids in the kitchen preparing and eating wholesome food! Gluten-free options are available for those campers with gluten allergies. $175. Redeemer Lutheran Church Activity Hall.

Our daily recipes expose our campers to how food can be changed into different forms. The list is endless as to the delicious homegrown goodies we will cook up! An added bonus: Campers will meet local farmers and sample locally grown foods available to families throughout the Gulf Coast region! Gluten-free options are available for those campers with gluten allergies.
