An Outdoor Classroom Conference for Early Childhood Educators

The Outdoor Classroom Project in Santa Barbara County and the Orfalea Foundation invite you to an interactive and energizing one-day conference.
Workshops will focus on enhancing outdoor environments, programming and practices that are supported by brain research and are designed to inform and inspire on a range of facets of the Outdoor Classroom. Early childhood professionals will have a unique opportunity to acquire enhanced skills for cultivating and sustaining outdoor programs that promote vibrant health from being outdoors and support the development of a life-long love of learning.
Participant Tracks:
- New to the Outdoor Classroom (Track 1)
- Experienced, on track to becoming Demonstration and Recognized sites (Track 2)
- Directors of Outdoor Classroom Demonstration and Recognized sites (Track 3A)
- Outdoor Classroom Specialists and Staff from Outdoor Classroom Demonstration and Recognized sites
(Track 3B)
The full-day program includes a welcome keynote presentation, three workshop sessions, a light healthy breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, handout and resource package, closing session, display room, raffle prizes and certificate of completion for six hours of professional development credit.

Registration, media display viewing, product sales, networking and a light healthy breakfast will begin at 7:30 am. The conference is from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm.

Fees
- $25 for early childhood educators, agencies, organizations and our collaborating partners in Santa Barbara County
- $25 for staff from Demonstration and Recognized Site Centers in San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties
- $75 for early childhood educators, agencies, organizations outside of Santa Barbara County
Cancellation policy
- $25 Fee: You can obtain a $25 refund until Friday, May 3rd.
- $75 Fee: You can obtain a partial refund of $50 until Friday, May 3rd. A $25 administrative fee will be charged.
Beginning May 4th, any fee paid is non-refundable.
