TPREIA/ InterNACHI Educational Event

This is a two-day class with 16-Hours TREC Approved Continued Education Hours you want to plan on attending.

Friday's class will be taught by Bryan Ables with Simpson Strong-Tie on "Continuous Load Path Connection & Residential Wall Bracing". This is a outstanding class subject and one that all Inspectors want and need more knowledge on.  Texas sees tornadoes, hurricanes and severe weather; a common misconception is that wood light-frame construction can't be designed to resist high winds. There is a lot that can be done to strengthen the structure and protect the occupants inside. This class will provide you with information on how this can be achieved and what to look for in your inspections. This class will cover continuous load paths that is essential to minimize destruction from excessive wind conditions.

Saturday's class is on the required TREC "Texas Standards of Practice/Legal.Ethics Update" Class and will be taught by Clay Collins. The SoP/Legal/Ethics Update class is a required class each time you renew your TREC Inspectors License; the requirement calls for 6-hours of Inspectors continued education (ICE) on these subjects for every license renewal period and they must be completed prior to renewing your license. TPREIA's class provides you with  8 hours of continuing education credit.  Don't get caught short missing these specific hours for your license renewal.

This class is FREE to
all TPREIA and InterNACHI Members!

If you are not in the San Antonio area, TPREIA does have classes scheduled in Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston and Dallas. SO watch your email inbox for these events.
